Official Opening

The Official Opening will set a forward-looking tone for IC2025, highlighting the global momentum behind child protection and the growing recognition child helplines as vital platforms for safeguarding and amplifying children’s voices. It will include the national anthem and prayer.
The song promotes ending child marriage and encourages sending children to school. It ends with a clear call to action: if you or someone you know is experiencing gender-based violence or child marriage, call 116 or 933 for help.

Join us for a dinner hosted by the Government of the Republic of Zambia, with a special presentation from UNFPA, as we celebrate milestones on ending harmful practices and to highlight the urgency of action on our unfinished business of ending child marriage and FGM. The dinner will include presentations from child helplines and keynote speeches from government representatives.

In this final session, Regional Representatives will share key takeaways from their Regional Spaces, highlighting common challenges, promising practices, and regional commitments. Each region’s feedback will reflect on how members plan to implement the “Livingstone Declaration”.

There will be refreshment and health breaks during the mornings and afternoons.
