What is Voices Together Europe?

Across Europe, millions of children and young people face challenges such as mental health concerns, violence, bullying, and digital risks. Child helplines provide a trusted, accessible and confidential space where children can seek support, share their experiences and access help.

Voices Together Europe is a three-year initiative led by Child Helpline International, co-funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme. It aims to strengthen child helplines across the European Union and ensure that children’s voices are heard in policies and practices that affect their lives.

The project focuses on strengthening the capacity, accessibility and quality of child helpline services, while also ensuring that the insights gathered through helpline contacts inform decision-making at national and European levels. It will also contribute directly to strengthening of services provided through 116 111 – the European harmonized number for child helplines – and other national child helplines.

What Voices Together Aim to Achive

Between 2026 to 2028, the project aims to:

Supporting child helplines to improve service quality, accessibility and responsiveness, particularly for children in vulnerable situations.

Collecting, analysing and sharing anonymized child helpline data to inform advocacy, policymaking and child protection systems.

Strengthening partnerships and promoting the integration of child helplines into national and European child protection frameworks through advocacy and communication. See our Resources section for our data reports, thematic reports and advocacy materials.

Together, these efforts help ensure that children across Europe have access to trusted, rights-based support services when they need them most.
