Volunteers: Proofreaders, Spanish

Child Helpline International, a collective impact organization with 155 members across 133 countries and territories, is seeking dedicated volunteers to contribute to our global mission. We coordinate information, viewpoints, knowledge and data from our child helpline members, partners and external sources. This exceptional resource is used to support child protection systems globally, regionally and nationally, and to help our members advocate for the rights of children and amplify their voices.

Currently, we are looking for volunteers to assist in proofreading materials in Spanish, based on English originals. These materials, typically under a page long and ranging from emails to survey questions, play a crucial role in advocating for the rights of children and amplifying their voices globally. Occasionally, longer materials like reports and newsletters may also require translation.

Your support in making our network more inclusive and promoting the voices of children and young people from around the world is invaluable.

About you:

  • Native Spanish speaker.
  • Strong command of English to understand the original text.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to dedicate 1-2 hours a week for proofreading our materials.
  • Ready to commit for at least 12 months.
  • Ideally (but not necessarily) you will possess a background in social sciences such as children’s rights, law, political sciences, psychology, sociology, etc.

How to Apply:

If you meet the requirements and are enthusiastic about joining our team, please send an email to kasia@childhelplineinternational.org with the following:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • Brief description of your language skills and any relevant experience.
