The internet hosts millions of images of child sexual exploitation and abuse, re-victimizing children each time they are viewed and shared. Reporting online sexual exploitation and abuse is the first step towards removing these images, stopping the abuse and starting the healing process for survivors.
This video – “Abeba’s Story” – explains how child helplines fill the gaps and coordinate with law enforcement and other authorities to ensure that children are protected and supported, in countries where child protection systems lack such services.
